BOOB JOB IN SOUTH KOREA | My Experience at LaPrin Plastic Surgery

Hi everyone!
I am certain with this blog post, not only will I be having my lovely regular readers, but also some new ones who are looking to find all the information needed on gettings cosmetic surgery or a boob job (breast augmentation) in South Korea! This is a subject that hasn’t really been published to the public in English. Or at least I personally have never been able to find solid information from a North American foreigners first hand experience on getting a boob job in South Korea. So I am here today to share my personal experience getting a boob job in South Korea.

Why I Want A Boob Job

I am not to sure if any of my readers will remember, but back a few years ago when I started my blog, I talked quite a few times about how I wanted a boob Job (Breast Augmentation). You can see my previous post here where I first talked about it. But I will talk about it again here as my opinion might be a bit different now that I am older and my blog posts have become more logical since then.

To the story!

Back when I was fresh and young (15 Years Old), I was about a 34B cup in size. I was happy and had high hopes I would grow to be a C cup like my older sister. But by the time I turned 19, I overall shrunk in size. I went to a specialist and got measured only to learn I had shrunk to a 30B. Which is a bra size that can not be purchased in brand stores. Then when I turned 21, while trying to bra shop at Victoria’s Secret, the only bras that would fit me correctly were 34A cups… I had never felt more depressed about my physical body in my life.

Some people may think, “34A isn’t flat! There are girls out there who are even smaller.” But the fact is not other people in comparison, the fact is how I feel in my body. And in only 3 years of my life, I lost a large amount of confidence in my physical appearance. Which ultimately effected my sexual life *cough cough*. However, I will be honest, I never even liked the shape of my breast before they shrunk. I used to be too embarrassed of how they looked to ever consider removing my bra while being intimate. As such, it took much too long before my partner was able to see my breasts in the nude. Which is not how anyone should feel.

I became so uncomfortable with my own body that I was embarrassed to even go to the beach with my girl friends. Or even while at the beach with my boyfriend, I felt like I wasn’t enough of a women for him in comparison to all the other girls at the beach. Which is not how anyone should feel. Ever since then, I have wanted to make a change, but I thought it could never happen. Until I moved to Korea when I turned 22.

Boob Job in South Korea

Why did I choose Korea to get my boob job?

If you don’t know about Korea, then you probably don’t know that it is the country that conducts the highest number of plastic surgery procedures. It also has become the number 1 country for plastic surgery tourism because the the high technology in conducting procedures. Upon living here, I have constantly on a daily basis been exposed to countless advertisements for plastic surgery clinics, advertising many procedures, and boob jobs been many of them. One major thing I learned about when I came to Korea was that Tear Drop Implants are the biggest craze.

Tear Drop Implants are specially shaped to match the natural shape of a women’s breast. Meaning instead of the Implant being in a circular shape, they are literally in the shape of a water drop. You see ads for these types of boob jobs all over the subway stations in Korea, and I have to admit, they look beautiful. So of course, I was practically sold just from the ads. However what truly sold me, was how many people have actually had it done, and that my personal good friend had it done. Her breasts looked for natural that I had no idea she had a boob job in Korea.

A few months later, I found myself recommended by a friend to a plastic surgery clinic in one of the richest areas in Gangnam, known as Cheongdam-dong. Next thing I knew I was having a consultation at Laprin Plastic Surgery.

Laprin Plastic Surgery

Why did I choose Laprin Plastic Surgery?

Not only did I choose it because it was recommended to me, but because Laprin gave me an amazing consultation and introduced my to their technology and what they could offer me for the most comfortable and quick healing procedure. Laprin specializes in NO PAIN Tear Drop Breast Augmentation. Provided clients with a very safe and comfortable experience with the best implants to date. Not only is their method of conducting breast augmentation high tech, they also provided me with the ability to see how MY breasts would look as a C cup.

Laprin uses 3D imaging photography to digitally enhance your breasts into the size and shape you want. They were able to show me my 34A breast in a 34C with tear drop implants. I also got to compare how the regular circular implants would look on me VS the Tear Drop Implants. Let me tell you, the regular circular implants look so obvious in comparison to Tear Drop Implants.

Now, not only was the technology and Implants at Laprin top notch, but the surgeons and staff were beyond helpful and very trust worthy. The assistants were always there to help and guide me to where I needed to be. Although, not all the assistants spoke English, they still knew when I was coming and where they needed to take me. The surgeons, spoke enough English to explain some things, but they had an English speaker there to help when translation was needed. The surgeons were very honest with me in what they could do to me so I could achieve the most flattering breast size and shape for my body. Their confidence in providing me with the a safe No Pain Tear Drop breast augmentation was also a main selling point on why I ended up choosing to go with Laprin.

BOOB JOB IN SOUTH KOREA | My Experience at LaPrin Plastic Surgery

No Pain Tear Drop Breast Augmentation Cost

One thing I liked the most about Laprin aside from their amazing technology and service, was that they are 100% public with their pricing. Which is something you will NEVER see back in Canada. Laprin shares all their general costs on their website. Making it easy for clients to see how much money they need to save before coming in for a consultation. Not only that, they also said it was totally okay for me to share the cost of my surgery with everyone!

My No Pain Tear Drop Breast Augmentation Price was 7500,000 Won, my implants were 220cc’s and placed over the muscle.
This price can roughly convert to around $8000. This price is a bit higher then the general cost of a regular boob job. However this is because I decided to get the newest technology in breast augmentation. This technology being the Tear Drop Implants and the NO PAIN method of surgery.

There will also be things you will need to purchase after your surgery. These additional costs will be for medicine such as antibiotics and other medications to help you heal and recover, anti-hardening pills so your implants don’t harden and others. You will also be required to purchase a special post surgery bra. This bar is designed to keep your breasts in place to heal correctly.

  • Medicine will cost around $100
  • Bra will cost around $200
  • Tape for the scar around $5
  • Scar treatment around $10

Is the price worth it?
ABSOLUTELY! In my opinion, if you are ever going to do cosmetic plastic surgery or a boob job, you should always pay the price to get the best that you can. It is a permanent change to your physcial appearance, as such, you should want it to look the best that it possibly can. Which is another reason why I chose Laprin because of the level of perfection they could provide me.

Healing?

Healing was very easy for me. I truly had No Pain at all. I only felt very sore for around 1 week. This sore feeling felt the same as if I was to do an intense chest workout with a crazy personal trainer. Swelling takes a while to go away, around 1 month to even 3 months depending on the individual. I experienced numbness in my breasts as well as hyper sensitive nipples after the numbness went away. However the surgeons and nurses told me this is 100% normal for post breast augmentation healing. My 1 breast took longer to heal compared to the other breast. This also is normal. The only downside is that I absolutely must always sleep on my back for at least 3 months. This is a strict rule that I must not break. Sleeping on the side or on the stomach can alter the placement of your breast implants! Since I am naturally a stomach sleeping, this is really hard for me to get used to but I am managing. The healing process overall is long, but in only 2 weeks I am 100% feeling normal and can move my arms around freely with no sore feeling.

Before & After

Now, for some odd reason, I wasn’t expecting my before and after photos to be so drastic. When I look at my chest now, it does not feel like it looks different. But when I first got my boob job, I was shocked at how much bigger they were. But when I look and compare my before and after photos. The results are absolutely amazing!

The photos bellow are before and after photos for a in the time span of 2 weeks. Beginning with before the surgery, to 3 days, to 1 week, to 2 weeks.

BOOB JOB IN SOUTH KOREA | My Experience at LaPrin Plastic Surgery

I couldn’t be happier with my results!
I highly recommend traveling to South Korea for a boob job, among that, I highly recommend Laprin Plastic Surgery as your choice. My experience there was wonderful, very easy and comfortable.

OMG thank you for sharing this! I was planning on something like this because I am looking into something like this! I recently got size at Victoria’s Secret as well and I’m just a 34 B… As so they say, I think I’m an A… I was always so curious about Korea’s breast augmentation surgeries because I always hear they are the best. My friends already had their breast augmented and they would complain of the PAIN! Like you said in your video, you can hold the selfie stick! And they couldn’t even get up out of bed after surgery!

Yours looks so amazing and I think it’s worth the trip or just wait and hope if my husband gets stationed there. One could only hope…

But yes, thank you so much for sharing this!!! I think it’s best to wait until I get to Korea!

Aw yes, I was the same. Sometimes fitted to a B but fit better to an A and then eventually shrunk completely to an A.
I saw the same, many other bloggers and youtubers had difficult and uncomfortable recoveries, but mine was quite easy!
If you do come to Korea, I highly recommend Laprin ๐Ÿ™‚

If you don’t mind me asking Bronwyn, where was your incision made? I heard through the belly button was nice since it was minimal scarring. And a friend of mine went through her nipple and now she doesn’t have much sensation in that area…

During my consultation, I was told for the tear dropped shaped implants, the safest place is under the breast. Going through other areas has a higher chance of the position not being correct. I also was informed the Naval is a new type of location and is not highly recommended. However if you plan to get regular circular implants, then going through the armpit is best if you dont want a noticeable scar while still being safe. However under the breast is the safest implanting method. Due to the implant I chose, I decided to go under the breast as to not risk any irregular shapes.

I’ll be updating the post about the scar later. Since it is not fully healed yet, I cannot properly see how noticeable it will be once fully healed. ๐Ÿ˜› But I will update about it once the scar is healed which could be in another few months.

How is the teardrop procedure different then others? Or what is the procedure, was there bruising, a lot of bleeding, how big are the scars?

Because the implant needs to be perfectly positioned since it is not a round circle shape. The positioning is very very important. I am not a surgeon so I am not sure how exactly the procedure is different ๐Ÿ˜› I had minimal bruising and little to no bleeding during the procedure. No bleeding after either. I will be doing my full recovery updates in the next video ๐Ÿ™‚

Just finished watching your video and my husband and eye really enjoyed your candor and honest approach. We liked how you made everything relatable from the “tonsil removal pain” reference to your story of how you were waiting for your boobs to grow like your sister. Having said this, know that we believe you’re a beautiful girl with or without; but if in the pursuit of happiness, these make you happy, then we’re happy for you!

Hello! I was wondering if I wanted to get in contact with them, how should I do that? I went on their site and it seems to be all in Korean. I only speak English. Is there a way to get in touch with an English speaking representative? Your video really has me seriously considering this. I had no idea about the teardrop implant. I always wanted a boob job, but hated the obvious look of fake breasts. Yours looks so natural~ Thanks for sharing with us, Bronwyn. ๐Ÿ™‚

This technology you mentioned in your blog and video. Can you explain a little more? Do they use lasers to make and close the incision? Is their technique in placing the implant different from other surgeons? Is the implant high tech? If so how? What was their technique in minimal bleeding?

Since I can’t speak Korea well enough to understand their technique, I cannot be helpful in this situation ๐Ÿ™ My incision however had dis-solvable stitches on the inside. The Implant is german made. The best quality implant are made in Germany from my knowledge. I had no bleeding but like I said, I do not know Korean enough to know medical techniques.

I have been living in South Korea for 2 years. So I did not fly over for the consultation.
You can email Laprin and find their email at the bottom of their website and tell them when you want done. You can probably have an online consultation over skype.
Once you feel comfortable with going to laprin, you then can schedule to have a physical consultation and proceed to do the surgery in korea.

    Hey!
I actually stopped by LaPrin to get a consultation, and you’re right about how helpful and resourceful both assistants and doctors were.
Question though. Did you have any reservations about the sizing they recommended? I.e. Did you want to go bigger than they recommended? Also, did you ultimately go with what the doctor recommended?
Doctor recommended 320cc for me, but I’m not sure I’m completely satisfied with the size. Was the 3D depiction accurate of what you see in real life post-surgery?
Also, did you go high profile, moderate, etc.?

      Excellent!
I had been researching and planning my breast augmentation for many years, Laprin recommended me the size that I had already wanted. I did not want to go any bigger or smaller. They were very good to know what size would look best and most natural on my body. Everything for me was very accurate.

Thank you so much for the information. I am living in Korea as well, and am going for a few consultations on Saturday. I have been quoted very different prices from different clinics, and want to see if the higher price is worth it. If you don’t mind me asking, were you able to pay the procedure off over some time (being an alien in Korea) or was it cash in full?

You can do a payment plan if you want to, but this should be discussed during your consultation to see what the clinic can offer you. Good luck!

Out of curiosity, do they have payment plans to pay it off? Or is it all in one big blow? I am looking at other clinics, though yours looks awesome, but cannot afford the hefty bill at once. I live in Korea, too, so I have a Korean bank. I know some clinics for hospital procedures will let you pay it off monthly, but with clinics like this, I wasn’t sure how that would work… ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks~

I’ve been wanting this procedure for years as well and also in South Korea, because I’ve heard tons of people rave about the technology there.
My only concern is, I’ve heard that every 5 to 10 years, you’d have to re-do the surgery for your breasts to stay good and healthy.
    Is that true?

This depends on your body, how the surgery went and the quality of the implant you have. Always make sure your implant is german made as they tend to be the best and longest lasting. Usually it is at around 15 years when you need to have them removed or replaced. For me. I will be almost 40 in 15 years. So I am not sure if I will replace or just remove at the age. So it is best to start saving money for when that time will come just incase you choose to replace.

I am hoping to one day (in the next couple of years) get my boobs done, as I am not confident, I am an A cup and they are not at all proportionate to the rest of my body. Any ways, my question: I am very interested in Laprin but when I went to visit their website.. Well it’s all in Korean! Is there an English website that you visited? Please and thank you!

I live in Korea currently and I was wondering how long the time frame was from your consultation to the actual surgery? I’ve tried getting in contact with Laprin multiple times in different ways, but so far no dice.
I’m heading to Seoul tomorrow to actually go there physically, but I was wondering if I should expect to get the surgery done that weekend?

      Hi,
Your doctor should tell you the cost of your implants and overall procedure.

Do you know what the tear drop implant is made off? I had allergic reaction with the silicone bras and by breast got all itchy with rashes and bumps after couple minutes of wearing the silicone bra. I know the circular implants are made of silicone so I think that is not an option for me because I think I am allergic with silicone but I am looking into this tear drop one.

Its advanced silicon. You may need to do allergy testing before considering this surgery. There is a water saline solution type, but those type rupture more easily.

Hi, this is my first time visiting, but you’re so inspiring, I can muster the courage to ask some questions before deciding to fly to Korea for this. Why do we have to Book for 2 weeks? Is it possible to go there for three, and fly back? I live in Japan, so it is not so far away. The cost looks more daunting from that.

You need to book for 2 week because you need to do post surgery check ups to make sure your ok. It is for your health and safety.
I recommend even going for 1 month just in case something happens you can go to the clinic for help.

I have been considering getting this procedure and was wondering- I’ve heard round implants tend to be hard to the touch. Do you think the year drop shape ones have a more natural feel/weight, or no…? Thank you for your honest post!!! It was very helpful!

    Hello!
I was getting curious regarding breast augmentation since I’ve always felt that my boobs are just a bit too small for my figure (34A) and your article was so helpful! Now, I’ve only been playing with the thought of getting this procedure done for a few weeks now and will most definitely do a looot more research and also think about this whole thing for a few more years, but there’s one thing I have always asked myself. And that is whether you can feel a difference. Like, can you feel that there’s an implant when touching your breasts or does it just feel the way it did before?

Now, I get that this is a quite personal question and I’m really sorry if you’re uncomfortable answering this! But it would be really great if you could maybe help me out with my question since I haven’t found anyone ever talking about that.

Hi love, they will never feel fully natural as they did before. Such is the sacrifice for a larger size. They will feel firmer then normal. Depending on your original size and how much larger you go, you will feel the implant outline the bigger the implant is compared to your original size.

Laprin was recommended to me by a friend. After visiting the clinic and talking with the doctors personally, I felt comfortable choosing them instead of other clinics.

Let me tell you about my wife. She has an A-Cup too and I love it. In former days she felt unconfident as well, so I let her know, how charming she (and they) are to me. Today she is absoluty confident and feels very good in her body as it is by nature.
I fully respect your decision and know, that you are very happy with it.

I may have missed some comments, but will women who do the surgery you went through be capable of breastfeeding?
