Yay!! I was inspired by another Korean kpop girl group music video! It has been a while hasn’t it? But I don’t like to “repeat” makeup styles or do ones that are extremely similar to other videos I have done. So this time I felt that Girl’s Day Female President (여자대통령) Music Video was a look unlike any other I have done before! Plus I absolutely loved the song and the music video 🙂 I don’t know how to speak Korean haha, but the song was just so catchy that I found myself singing along to a language I don’t even understand haha! But I am like that so that is nothing new for me haha!

Now lets get onto the fine details of this video. If you haven’t noticed, this is a very simple look to achieve if you have the right products on you! I found the products I chose to use for this look were the easiest to use and captured the same effect in the video the best.

Some of you may or may not have felt it was strange that I used a lip mask in the beginning of this look. But I felt it was a necessary step for me. I noticed in the video that the girls had perfect smooth lips and with it being winter, my lips have been very dry and not looking too pretty. So after a good scrub of my lips with a wash cloth, I applied my Choosy lip treatment mask that is loaded with moisturizing properties and vitamin E and left it on for 15 minutes. My lips were nice and smooth once I took it off!
You can either use this mask on its own or you can apply your favourite lip treatment on then apply the mask over top for an intensive treatment. My lips weren’t that bad so I used the mask on its own! But I sure did feel like I looked funny wearing it! 😛
Another product I felt was perfect with this look was this Solone 10 color eyeshadow palette. This palette had 3 colors in it that were perfect for this look.
I used the shimmery brown shade (first row, 3rd down), the highlight color (second row 1st color) and the matte black color (second row, bottom). These colors transfer beautifully onto the skin with excellent true pigment. I Use this palette often for this winter season because it allows me to create very easy smokey eye looks with any color! So if you are a fan of smokey eyes, this is the palette for you!
Next I used my Solone waterproof mascara. This mascara was also perfect for this look because the girls in the video didn’t have heavy looking lashes. They kept the lashes light and wispy. Since I natural have long-ish lashes, I found I didn’t need to wear false lashes for this look and only needed to apple a lengthening mascara to get that soft wispy look.
