MY SKINCARE ROUTINE

Hello my lovely’s!
Today I am sharing with you all something I have never ever never ever shared before! And that is obviously my skin care routine!
You may be wondering, why as a beauty blogger have I never talking about my skin care routine?
Well that is because since I have been blogging, I have had a lot of random skin issues with acne.
I felt since my skin wasn’t the loveliest, that there was zero purpose in sharing my routine ๐Ÿ˜›
But over the past year I have cured my major acne issues and am finally able to use skin care products to make my skin beautiful!
Yay!
So lets begin with my video to show you all every product I use to maintain my healthy-ish skin ๐Ÿ™‚
So that is my exact skin care routine that I am currently doing and seems to be working great for me!
But since we are on my blog, I am going to go into the lovely details for this routine ๐Ÿ˜€

Here is a list of all the products that I am currently using and featured in my video.
  • Aveeno Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser
  • Cure Natural Auqa Gel
  • JuJu Bihacon Whity Lotion (Light) *YesStyle. ca*
  • DermaGlow Vitamin C Whitening Serum
  • Marcell Revival Firming and Brightening Serum
  • Etude House White Trouble Essentializer
  • Hanaka Black Rose Mask *Imomoko.com*

Lets start off with my Aveeno Cleanser.
I use the Aveeno Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser because I have sensitive skin along with acne prone skin. This skin type is a huge pain in the ass to have. It honestly has taken me a couple years to find the perfect cleanser for my skin type that consistently works for me. This cleanser keeps the moisture in my skin while still fighting and preventing acne while being very gentle and non-irritating. The only down side to it is that it is a little more expensive then most cleansers and it isn’t the best at removing makeup. If I have makeup on, I usually have to wash my face twice to fully remove.
Cure Natural Aqua Gel
This is a product I had always wanted to try ever since I saw Asian beauty bloggers raving about it a few years back. Finally once my acne settled down, I figured I would go ahead and give it a shot and OMG! AMAZING! This product is just glorious. It gently exfoliates without drying or irritating the skin. It is one of those products that you need to try for yourself to truly understand the beauty of it. It makes sense that this sells like crazy in Japan!
JuJu Bihacon Whity Whitening Lotion (light)
This product was one I randomly bought on Yesstyle.ca to try out. I was looking for a toner that whitened but was good for sensitive skin types. Some whitening products can be rough on people with sensitive skin but this one was fragrance free, oil-free but still maintained moisture. On top of that it was affordable for me! I was pleasantly surprised with this product and it is probably one I would buy again in the future. Since I do have acne prone skin, I bought it in the light formula so it wasn’t super heavy on moisturizing properties.
DermaGlow Vitamin C Whitening Treatment Serum
This product is an iffy one for me. I got it from Shoppers DrugMart for half price because the DermaGlow line is being discontinued from the store. (not to sure if it is just that store or every shoppers drugmart). I was looking for something that would specifically focus on fading scars so I got the serum that had a higher concentrate of vitamin C to really focus on my problem areas. They had a full line of Vitamin C whitening products, but the treatment serum was my best option. This small treatment was originally $70.00 dollars Canadian!! But I got it for $30.00! This serum works OK, but it doesn’t absorb into the skin very nicely on its own. I feel I need to set it in with other products over top to make sure my skin absorbs it. Based of the original price of 70.00 dollars, I think there is cheaper out there with the same whitening effects. But since it is on sale for such a good price, might as well try it out! If you live in Canada, check out your local Shoppers Drug Mart to see if they have their DermaGlow line on sale as well! You might be able to score these high end products for half price too!
Marcell Revival Serum
Okay this product is an odd one for me to own and be using. The Revival line is meant for mature skin, but I am using it because last year at Christmas they were selling the entire line for half price for $60.00!! I couldn’t say no the that ๐Ÿ˜› Unfortunately I could only use the day cream and this serum out of the line because the night cream was too rich and made me break out. I use this serum as a night serum only, I don’t use it during the day because it is a very rich formula designed for older women. So I only use a little bit at night to help give my skin a little boost during the night! And it works wonderfully. This serum is designed for sensitive skin and it is hypo-allergenic and fragrance-free so even though it is for mature skin, I can get away with it as a night treatment because it is so gentle. But If you are younger then me (I’m 21). I would not recommend you use this. It could break you out.
Etude House White Trouble Essentializer
I had been interested in this product for a while and finally decided to give it a shot. The White trouble essentializer basically is a day time moisturizer. It is called an essentializer because it is a multi-purpose product. The essentializer is free of harsh chemicals but contains acne fighting agents to help target and fight against white acne. This type of acne is the type that shows up just under the surface of you skin and leave small flat white looking raised areas. If you try to extract white acne, you will notice is does not contain “puss” but contains what appears to be thick white grease. White acne is not inflamed or irritating to the skin, but if looks weird and annoying. It basically is a concentration of sebum that is trapped in the pore and has not yet become infected to turn into a pimple. But it can in the future! It isn’t recommend to extract white acne by squeezing. Squeezing can make the white acne turn into a pimple if not extracted properly or entirely. Obviously I get white acne ๐Ÿ˜› So I bought this product to help fight against white acne! After 1 month of constant day and night use, the amount of white acne I have has significantly decreased! ๐Ÿ˜€ I love this moisturizer!
Hanaka Black Rose Mask
This mask is a new mask I got and I like to use it only once a week if I have been wearing makeup often. This mask is a peeling mask which is designed to remove excess oil and dirt that is trapped in the pores. This mask is also great for removing blackheads!

The Hanaka Black Rose Peeling Mask contains Bulgarian rose essence which is an all natural ingredient that works wonders for the skin. This ingredient helps add radiance back into the skin with mild whitening properties and mild healing and moisturizing effects. Along with skin benefits; the Bulgarian rose also has major aromatherapy benefits! It works by having extreme calming effects to the body and also works as a an aphrodisiac. Putting you in an ultimate calm, feel good and relaxed state of mind. This mask is a great way to purify your skin and relax you after a stressful day or week.

The mask also has a super thick and sticky consistency when removed from the packaging. This sticky texture is great for settling in your pores and really holding onto the dirt and oil so it can all be pulled right out! If you have acne prone skin this mask would work great for you! It works great on black heads ๐Ÿ™‚ But if you have dry skin, I don’t recommend this mask to you. Try to only use sheet masks and stay away from peeling masks. If you have combination skin, use this mask only on your oily areas such as the T-Zone.
