NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream Swatches

NYX LIPSTICK Cosmic Glitters Launching Event in Melbourne

Hi Loves!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my first impression and swatches on the latest Nyx Lipstick’s, Nyx cosmic metals lip cream swatches! These liquid lip sticks recently launched and have been quite the trend product from Nyx cosmetics. Following the latest lip are trend of metalic lips, these gorgeous new lipsticks come in a variety of interesting iridescent and metallic shades for the lips! Now In my opinion and personal taste, these certainly are not my everyday cup of tea, however they certainly would make for some fun makeup looks and Instagram approved lip art photos!

Packaging

The packaging for the Nyx Cosmic Metals Lip Cream’s are your average liquid lipstick packaging, made with clear plastic so the product is completely visible along side a black cap with a crystal shaped top. One thing I enjoyed about this packaging was the quality of the doe foot applicator and the suction upon removal of the wand. The suction allows for a very clean wand without excess product getting all over the opening. All while still dispensing just the right amount of the Nyx cosmic metals lip cream onto the applicator. They certainly did a good job on packaging quality here!

Texture &ย Swatches

The I got myself 3 shades of the Nyx cosmic metals lip cream’s. In order from left to right in the photo bellow you will see:

  • Dark Nebula
  • Fuchsia Fusion
  • Speed of Light

These 3 shades certainly do deliver on the glam! All colors are extremely bold and fill of glitter. Opacity pay off wise, Dark Nebula was a bit lacking in comparison to the opacity of Fuchsia Fusion and Speed of Light and required a little more product to have a solid finish, while the others were opaque in 1 swipe. Texture wise, these bad boys were extremely rich and creamy with a moist velvety feeling. Keep in mind, these are categorized on the Nyx cosmetics website as lip glosses, so they do not set matte or at all dry.

Wear

Wearing wise, these will not be everyone’s choice for a daily lip gloss, but they can be great to add a small tough over your favorite daily lipstick for an enhanced glitter or shine. As well as mentioned previously, these will be awesome for events, Halloween, makeup tutorials or even for fun lip art!

Overall

Overall, I think Nyx did well with these colors and quality of the product! They don’t fit my personal taste or style, but I think they are fun and if these brought out more fun wearable colors or color combos, it will be a hit on youtube and the Instagram scene! These glorious glitters retail for $7.50 USD and just recently launched in Australia. Would I buy these again? Probably not unless I had a specific special look I was planning, but otherwise not something of my taste for my collection,ย yet a really great quality liquid lip!
