WISHTREND.COM KOREAN EYECANDY WIND SPIN MAGIC HAIR DIFFUSER REVIEW AND DEMO

Hello lovely hair product fans! Today I am going to be sharing with you all a demo and my personal review on the popular EYECANDY WIND SPIN MAGIC HAIR DIFFUSER!

I personally was very interested in this product when I first saw Tai from wishtrend.com demoing it for the company. I thought it was a really cool concept but I wasn’t sure how well it would work for me since I have much longer hair then her and I hardly ever blow dry my hair.

When I was asked if I wanted to try out the product I was super excited since it was already a product I was very interested in!

I gave the wind spin a few test runs before I gave my full opinion on youtube. It honestly took me a few tries to really get the hang of using it. The product comes with directions on how to use it but everyones hair texture is different so it took a little bit of modifying for it to work well for me.

But first let me share with you what the product truly is!
The Eyecandy wind spin magic hair diffuser is an attachment for your hair dryer that consists of 2 parts.
  1. A pink silicon sizer to securely connects the spinner to the blow dryer
  2. The purple translucent spinner that creates the wind tunnel to curl and wave the hair.
The silicon adaptor fits snuggly on any size dryer, but the smaller sized your dryer is, the better it stays attached while the dryer is in use. Since I have a large hair dryer, I had to hold the spinner while using it or else it would come loose and fall off. This is not the products fault, it is simple physics ๐Ÿ˜› The centre of gravity was off, the length of my hair drying did not give the spinner enough support causing it to slowly come loose. Which is why a smaller hair drying works better! ๐Ÿ™‚

See how long my hair dryer already is? My dryer is a little to big to properly support the product. But it still works and is not an issue! If your dryer is large, it just means you will have to hold the spinner with your hand while using it. This did not annoy me. But if it is something that may annoy you, then I recommend getting a small, cheap dryer for $20.00
The dryer came with a lot of information on how to use it which was extremely helpful! The wind spin has 2 directions of curl to choose from! You can rotate the centre piece in the middle to send the wind in different directions to control what direction your curl will turn in. I had mine directed towards my face because I like my curls to be hugging and framing my face.
Now here is the real trick to getting the waves to turn out properly, which took me some practicing to figure out!

The directions say to have your hair towel dried and roots blow dried to make the curls. I feel like this would only work for short to medium hair lengths. Since my hair is long (half way down my back) I felt like having my hair towel dry was too moist and would weigh my hair down too much, causing the wind spin to give poor results such as…. lame crimped frizz look. Which was not at all what I wanted.

I then came to the result that for long hair you need to:

  • Have hair freshly showered
  • blow dry the roots only while avoiding the rest of the hair
  • Letting the rest of the hair air dry till it has barley any moisture left but still some. (just more dry then towel dried)
  • Use a comb while using the wind spin to keep the rest of the long hair within the spinner.
With these steps I was able to get the results I wanted with very little effort and my hair was soooo silky smooth!

I did two different techniques to show different types of waves. On the left side I did the same steps from above, but I spinned smaller sections to create more, and smaller waves.

For the right side I sectioned my hair into 2 parts and spinned them individually. This gave my big, loose and silky waves!

What really surprised me about this product was that when I woke up the next morning, my hair still had wave and curl! Usually with a curling wand my waves go fairly flat overnight or knotted, but the Eyecandy Wind Spin lasted through my sleep ๐Ÿ™‚

Now watch the live filmed demo to see exactly how I achieved both looks! ๐Ÿ˜€

So what do you think? Do you like the idea of the Eyecandy wind spin magic hair diffuser?
What I personally love the most about it is that it is perfect for days where you showered and don’t want to hassle with drying your hair then using other heat styling tools to get nice curls! You can just keep using your dryer! Perfect for lazy days right! ๐Ÿ˜€

This is one product that I will be using on my lazy days that is for sure! ๐Ÿ™‚
