I love circle lenses, especially when filming videos, makeup tutorials and for overall any type of photography. I always make sure to wear circle lenses when doing any of these activities. I have been wearing circle lenses for over 2 years now when I am making videos. I love the effects they provide to makeup tutorial, how I can change my eye color to better suit the makeup I want to wear and so on.
I have always been a fan of lenses that weren’t too enlarging. I have tried many different types of lenses over the years but I had always enjoyed lenses that were 14.5 mm or less in diameter. Anything larger would look uncomfortable on me. Their are certain lenses that use this measurement more than others. And I realized that Japanese circle lenses had the largest variety of unique lenses with a smaller diameter.
1 year ago I learn of Sayoko Ozaki and Mami Koshikawa launching their own circle lens brand called Twinkle Eyes. The lenses in the brand were everything I loved in a color contact. Slightly enlarging, natural patterns with unique colors that can cover brown eyes 100%. I had to get my hands on them! But back 1 year ago, it was very hard to find an online seller that distributed the Twinkle Eyes brand since they were still fairly new.
A website called Pinkicon Shop contacted me a few months ago asking if I wanted to try any of their Japanese circle lenses. When I looked at their site and saw that they sold the Twinkle Eyes brand, I was beyond excited! Of course I had to try them!
I got my two favorite looking lenses. Twinkle Eyes Secret Series Hazel and Twinkle Eyes Secret Series Russian Gray.

Twinkle Eyes Russian Gray Review
Twinkle Eyes Russian Gray lenses are 1 day lenses. Meaning they are to be worn only for 1 day then disposed of. For some people, this can be undesirable in a contact lens. However each Twinkle Eyes lens come in a set of 10. Meaning you get 10 days worth of circle lenses.
1 day disposable lenses are great for people who have sensitive eyes because they are made so thinly. Making them extremely comfortable to wear. This is great for people who need to wear contact lenses daily for their vision of for those who aren’t comfortable wearing lenses more than once.
I personally prefer the 1-day lenses more then my usually 1 year lenses because I found they to be much more comfortable then previous 1 year lenses I have owned. I also do not wear contact lenses for my vision and only wear them for filming makeup tutorials. So as you may guess, a set of 10 day lenses will last me a long time 🙂
Opacity – Twinkle Eyes Russian Gray
The Russian Gray lenses have amazing color and opacity over top of brown eyes.
With flash, they cover brown by 100% and feature a yellow and green toned inner ring.
The gray shows up as more of a blue gray rather then a washed out ash grey.
But, it overall provides a very natural cat-eye looking gray tone.

Twinkle Eyes Hazel Review
This is a pair I have had my eyes on for a while. The Twinkle Eyes Secret Series Hazel lenses have always been the look features in Happy Nuts Japanese Fashion Magazine. Which was onee gal style magazine. I loved the look of ash blonde hair with light washed out beige hazel eyes. It was gorgeous and I had to have the look!
I did a similar look in my OLD OLD Sayoko Ozaki makeup tutorial a couple years ago. However the lenses weren’t the perfect match I was looking for. So… I have a feeling I need to recreate the Sayoko Ozaki look with these perfect new lenses!
Once again the Twinkle Eyes Secret Series Hazel lenses are a 1 day disposable circle lens. Just like the Russian Gray, they come in a set of 10 pairs. Meaning you get 10 days worth of circle lens.
These lenses are not as natural looking since the design comes with a more false look, featuring a washed out light beige hazel solid color with a dark brown outer ring.
These lenses once again are very comfortable to wear. With a thinner design with a 14.5 mm diameter, these lenses fit comfortable without too much of an enlarging effect, making them suitable for every day wear.
Opacity – Twinkle Eyes Hazel
The Twinkle Eyes Secret Series Hazel lenses from Pinkicon Shop have 100% opacity no matter what lighting you are in. These lenses are amazing at covering brown eyes. However because of their solid opacity, these lenses don’t look the most natural.

Once again, LOVE THEM! But like mentioned before, these lenses arent the most natural looking. However they are amazing for filming makeup tutorials which I have already used them for on my Holiday tutorial for WishtrendTV. I highly recommend them for anyone who is a fan of hazel or beige eyes and want that Onee Gyaru look like Sayoko Ozaki.

Geo Honey Brown Review
I also got sent a surprise item, Geo Honey Brown lenses!
These lenses are simple lenses that look great for daily wear if you are looking to achieve that cute look that is trending with big dolly brown eyes.
The Geo Honey Brown lenses are the classic type of circle lens, providing a lovely soft warm brown color while offering a dolly look with a large outer ring design. these lenses donèt provide a big enlarging effect but still create a large doll like appearance to the eyes with the comfort of a 14.2mm lens.
Once again, a lens that is perfect for me since I personally don’t like the feeling of lenses larger than 14.2mm. these lenses aren’t as comfortable as a daily disposable lens since they are a 1 year disposal design. Making them slightly thicker. However their comfort level is fairly tolerable for anyone who has worn contact lenses before.

Natural Eyes without Lenses

As you can see from the above photos, the Geo Honey Brown lenses add quite the dolly look to the eyes without causing a drastic enlarging effect. They also provide a dark outer ring to the eye. The opacity is quite good at covering brown eyes. they make the eyes have a very rich medium brown color that still looks on the natural side.

Overall – Geo Honey Brown
These lenses are not 100% my style since they don’t provide a very natural look. However I like the dolly effect they give to the eyes without being a large lens and still being fairly comfortable to wear for a few hours. The comfort level isn’t high enough for me to wear them more than 4 hours without my eyes starting to feel a bit irritated. But I love how these lenses look with makeup!

Along with lenses, I made sure to get a new pair of false lashes! I loved the lash collection on Pinkicon shop! They provided such a large variety suitable for everyone’style. Natural, fluffy, glam and even dramatic lashes. They had a great variety of lashes that also look look like real hairs with a thin band which is 100% my style.
