This recipe is one my mom used to cook for my sister and I growing up, making it one of my #1 comfort foods! This french toast recipe is slightly modified from your classic diner style french toast recipe as it is most on the sweet dessert side of the spectrum.

FRENCH TOAST RECIPE

EASY FRENCH TOAST RECIPE

An easy morning breakfast just like mom used to make. This easy french toast recipe is a sweet one to make for the weekend mornings.

  • 2-3 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1/4 cup soy milk or regular cows milk
  • 4 slices rye bread or french bread
  • 1 tbsp butter (for frying)
  • 100% Pure Maple Syrup (drizzle or use as dip)
  1. Whisk all the the ingredients in a mixing bowel, heat frying pan to medium heat, add butter to the pan, dip bread into mixture for 3-5 seconds on each side, then quickly transfer to the frying pan.

    Fry for 1.5-2 mins on each side. Once both side are golden brown, serve hot with butter and pure maple syrup to dip or drizzle.
