Mugwort & Its Benefits

Mugwort is a herb in the daisy family (artemesia) which is native to Asia and Europe however, it can be found globally. This herb grows very tall during the summer season, preferring sunny and weedy areas. Due to its natural appearance, this herb can commonly be mistaken as a weed in itself (I for one can admit to pulling many out as weeds before). But before you get to weeding your garden, be sure you save this weedy looking herb for use in your home as it has some amazing benefits to your health and skin!

Texture & Application

I'm From Mugwort Mask Review on Sensitive Dehydrated Acne Prone Skin

One thing that I want to point out the most in this I’m From Mugwort mask review is the texture. This mask is a gel type wash-off mask that contains literal chunks of the ingredients, giving it a smooth texture that is also granular at the same time. Upon a closer look, you will be able to see ground up bits of plants within the mask. As this mask is designed to “sit” on the skin and not be “rubbed” into it, the chunks will not cause irritation or discomfort. For myself, I love being able to see the real natural ingredients in a product. In all honesty, the more natural the product, the better! On that note, the thing I was most happy to see from this I’m From Mugwort Mask was the absence of any artificial fragrances, which the brand has been known to include in past products.

Upon application on the skin, you truly do feel an instant cooling and hydrating effect on the skin. In terms of instant calming, I can’t say if that is true or not as I did not have any severe irritation that the time. I rather enjoyed the application process of this mask. It was mess-free, clung excellently to the skin, so well in fact, that I could walk around the house and drink tea while wearing it. Removal of the mask was easy and fairly clean, the best way being to wipe the bulk of the mask off with a tissue, then rinse the remaining product off with lukewarm or cold water.

Results & Overall Opinion

After following the directs, wearing the mask for 10 minutes, I noticed the redness and inflammation present on my skin was significantly reduced! I had 1 small inflamed pimple near my jawline and some mild redness from irritation near my inner cheeks and mouth. After the 10 minutes, there was a clearly visible reduction in both the areas of concern. After Multiple uses of a span of 2 weeks, I did not experience any negative adverse effects from using this mask. No hives, no breakouts, and no irritation was experienced from using it! For myself, this mask has become my second favorite mask from the “I’m From” brand of skincare, coming in second to their Honey Mask.

Based on my personal experience, if you have a skin type that often suffers from mild sensitivities, acne, and redness, then this is one mask to try out!
