KIARA WHITE-ALPHA AMPOULE ESSENCE REVIEW

After my serious acne breakout in the summer, I was left with horrible pigmentation marks that I was in a rush to fade and get rid of. At the same time I was in the market for a new serum/essence so I was looking for something that claimed to have wonderful whitening properties for a great price!

I am a big fan of Asian skincare products so I went to YesStyle.ca where I have bought previous skincare items. I found the Kiara white-alpha ampoule essence which was new to YesStyle at the time so I was excited to give it a try.

For the amazing price of $30.00 CA I had a feeling this product would do what it was claiming to do.

The Kiara white-alpha ampoule essence claims to clarify the skin while diminishing the appearance of skin discolouration such as sun damage and age-spots with several active ingredients while hydrating and leaving the skin silky smooth and moisturized. 

As you can imagine for my skin situation this product was absolutely perfect! Unfortunately YesStyle did not provide much more information on the product and their were now reviews on it at the time.

When I received the product in the main a few weeks later, it was cracked and leaking. As you can imagine this was very disappointing but these things often happen in shipping, especially when shipping from China to Canada (across the world). So I cleaned it up, made sure the product was still full and useable and continued to introduce it into my skincare routine.

I waited since the summer till now to review this product because I wanted to make sure to know if it worked or not since it does have whitening properties that do take time to work.

Over the past few months, all I can say now is I am disappointed. This product did not at all aid in fading my pigmentation marks and I noticed zero difference in the severity of them. I also had to stop using this product because it was not hydrating enough for the winter season here in Canada. So in a 4 month time span this product gave me zero whitening results.

However! It was a great light-weight hydrating serum/essence for the summer and fall season with a lovely light fragrance that kept my skin perfectly hydrated for summer and fall. 

After not seeing much results, I decided to take a look at the ingredients and research some of them. To some mild disappointment, the majority of the ingredients was a high amount of preservatives while the key ingredients were in small amounts. Now the majority of key ingredients were active naturals that require preservatives so I understand why they were in there. I just did not like the amount and high level of them. I am sure over time the company will find a way to use less preservatives.

So overall? This product will be good for you if you are looking for a light-weight essence/serum to add into your routine to provide a small amount of antioxidants, moisture and a very mild brightening effect.

If you are looking for an essence/serum that will be a powerhouse in antioxidants, moisture and a strong whitening effect, then this is not for you.
I think it is a great introductory serum/essence! But not good if you looking for something to whitening pigmentation marks and scars.
