It would seem in the past month I have been doing a lot of Korean style makeup tutorials! I need to start on the Japanese trends now! I feel like I have done the whole Korean face now haha!
In this video obviously I am teaching all you lovely followers how to get that Korean eyebrows Ulzzang effect! ๐ Those super cute straight and thick brows that just make you look 5% younger ๐
This look is super simple to achieve if you already have thick brows! Unfortunately if you have thin brows then you have to take some time to grow them in ๐ Or you can just draw the rest on! But obviously the look is better if you give your brows time to grow in ๐
For this look I use 4 products!
1: Grooming scissors (toe nail scissors,ย moustache scissors what ever ๐ )
2: Annabelle eye brow pencil in Taupe
3: Joe Fresh eye brow pencil in Blonde
4: Eyebrow and eye lash grooming tool duo ended
I use 2 different eye brow pencils for this look because with my hair color I find it very very hard to find the “perfect” eyebrow pencil that is the right color.
I used just the Taupe before and I hated it! So I bought the blonde one and it was too light all over!
So then I combined the two and I ended up with the perfect eye brow color for my hair ๐
I use the Taupe just on the outer ends and then use the blonde only on the inner part which I will show you in my video bellow ๐
As you can see there is quite a bit of a different between the 2 even though they are both designed for blondes. But combining them gives the best results!
Now I have noticed some feed back on my videos saying Ulzzang doesn’t look good on non Asians but I beg to differ!
I actually find the look is great on anyone! It is a look to make you look super young and cute! Not to make you look like an Asian! haha! But to be fair, I am not trying to look or be Korean. I just love the Ulzzang look and am loving their current makeup trends. So I am recreating them on myself!
I have noticed on Youtube the only “popular beauty gurus that do Asian inspired makeup are in fact Asian themselves… Which is a good thing! Don’t take me wrong! But girls that aren’t Asian also love the makeup! And want to see how a non-Asian can achieve a Korean or Japanese makeup trend!
So I will be that guru to recreate Korean and Japanese makeup trends and be non-Asian! ๐
So no, I am not trying to be Asian. I just love Asian trends ๐ That is the beauty of the Fashion and Makeup world is that it is an art that we share and create.
