This is the first post the my road trip series that I am going to be inconsistently blogging about for months! ๐
Since Kyle and I more or less road tripped across California and Canada its going to take me a lot of posts to be able to share with you guys all the amazing things we saw! So it is going to be a blog series!
FOR THOSE WHO DON’T KNOW
Kyle was working in California for 3 months of the summer. He was in the US and I was back home in Canada. This road trip series is my journey down to California to meet up with him after 3 long months apart and our long 3 week trip back home to Canada.
But enough blabbing and onto the awesome photos from our 2 days and 2 nights in
LAS VEGAS WOO!

We stayed in the Flamingo ๐ A Las Vegas classic!

Something I learned about Las Vegas is that the hotels more or less run the strip. So everything is inside a hotel! Malls, shopping, casinos, restaurants. They are all in hotels! So weird right?
Hahaha! So this truck drives around the strip all day and all night and I thought it was just so hilarious.
My first meal in the US! A delicious chicken sandwich with the best sweet potatoes fries I have ever had! I don’t remember what the restaurant was called but it was in Planet Hollywood ๐

So Kyle didn’t shave his beard for the entire 3 months that he was working in the field. This is the result! So Puffy! But he saved it the first day we were reunited.
All shaved and clean now! Ready for my first night in Las Vegas!

Just walking down the strip! Surprisingly there were a lot of families and their kids around… Something I didn’t expect in Las vegas!

So Kyle met the lead Pyro tech lady for the Pirate show and she let us see the show VIP ๐
Then she scored us pictures with the crew! ๐ Look at all the strong pirates!!
Kyle got one with the girls as well! We had couple ones with the entire crew but they were horribly out of focus so you couldn’t even see who was in the picture ๐
On our drunk wander back to the hotel, we obviously had to stop for food!
So we hit up Hash House a GoGo and got this massive pancake to share!
The next morning selfie! Ready to do all the tourist stuff and explore the entire strip!

Now onto the strip! One thing I couldn’t get over was the fact that they could have escalators outside! It just blew my mind! Because it never rains in the desert! So no natural damage! So Crazy.

Then we wandered into the Cosmopolitan hotel ๐
It was so pink and sparkly and gorgeous! I wish I could have stayed there but so expensive >.<
Then we ventured into the Bellagio Hotel ๐ Also expensive! I had to refresh with an iced coffee because it was so horribly hot outside!

Now time for night 2! We stayed in Rumor Boutique! A little more on the affordable side ๐

Relaxing after a full day of walking in intense desert heat!
We also went to the Hard Rock Hotel and ate delicious Chinese food at FU Restaurant haha! It was super yummy! But I can’t find the pictures ๐ Sorry!
Either way! Las Vegas was amazing! But I think if you want to DO Las Vegas you need to spend 3-4 days there. 2 days for all the tourist stuff then the rest for partying ๐ So Vegas is definitely somewhere I want to get back to now that I know the area super well! ๐
